A Year of Logo Design, Illustration, and Brand Development at 63 Visual

Written by in DesignIllustrationLogo Design

Every year, we take a moment to pause, zoom out, and look at the body of work as a whole.

Our annual recap has become a snapshot of where our studio is, how our craft is evolving, and the trust our clients continue to place in us.

This past year marked the most logo and illustration heavy year in the history of 63 Visual. From brand identity systems and custom illustration to packaging design, web design, and environmental graphics, the scope and depth of the work expanded in a way that felt both challenging and deeply rewarding.

For us, design is about building brands that feel intentional, timeless, and grounded in purpose, especially here in Jacksonville, where businesses span industries, generations, and cultures.

A Jacksonville Design Studio Built on Brand Foundations

As a Jacksonville-based design and branding studio, we work with businesses locally, regionally, and nationally, but Jacksonville remains home. The city’s mix of coastal culture, industry, sports, hospitality, and entrepreneurship creates a unique design landscape that demands versatility.

Our approach to Jacksonville branding is rooted in understanding the market before designing anything. Whether we’re creating a logo for a neighborhood institution, developing packaging for a growing product brand, or designing a website for a service-based business, the foundation is always the same:

  • Clear brand positioning
  • A strong visual identity system
  • Consistency across every touchpoint

This year’s work reinforced how critical that foundation is. Strong brands rely on systems that can grow, adapt, and remain recognizable over time.

Logo Design as the Anchor of Brand Identity

Logo design remains at the core of what we do. Not because logos are trendy, but because they’re the most visible symbol of a brand’s intent and personality.

In 2025, we created more logos than any previous year. These were  part of larger brand identity systems designed to live across packaging, signage, merchandise, websites, and social media.

Effective logo design must:

  • Be instantly recognizable
  • Scale across physical and digital formats
  • Reflect the brand’s values and audience
  • Stand the test of time

Our work spans a wide range of industries, including hospitality, sports, construction, retail, lifestyle brands, and professional services. Each project required a different approach, but the goal was always the same: create a mark that feels purposeful, confident, and unmistakably aligned with the brand.

Illustration as a Differentiator in Modern Branding

One of the most defining aspects of this year’s work was the sheer volume of custom illustration integrated into brand systems.

Illustration allows brands to stand apart in a crowded marketplace. While photography and templated graphics have their place, illustration adds personality and a tactile quality that resonates with audiences.

At 63 Visual, illustration isn’t meant to be only decorative. It serves a strategic role by:

  • Reinforcing brand voice
  • Creating visual cohesion across platforms
  • Elevating packaging and merchandise
  • Adding character to web design and marketing materials

From vintage-inspired linework to bold, graphic iconography, illustration became a key tool in helping brands feel distinctive rather than interchangeable.

Brand Development Beyond the Logo

True brand development extends far beyond a logo or color palette. This year, many projects required full-scale brand systems that addressed how a business presents itself across every customer interaction.

That includes:

  • Typography systems
  • Color usage and hierarchy
  • Iconography and illustration styles
  • Brand tone and messaging alignment
  • Application guidelines for real-world use

Strong brand development ensures consistency whether a customer encounters the brand on a website, a product package, a storefront sign, or a social media post.

This level of detail is especially important for Jacksonville businesses looking to grow beyond local recognition while maintaining their roots. A well-built brand allows companies to scale without losing authenticity.

Packaging Design That Tells a Story

Packaging design continues to be one of the most impactful branding tools, especially for consumer-facing products. This year, we worked on multiple package design projects where the packaging itself became the primary marketing asset.

Effective packaging design must:

  • Communicate value instantly
  • Stand out on shelves and online
  • Align with brand identity
  • Be functional and production-ready

By combining illustration, typography, and thoughtful layout, packaging becomes the big picture. In a competitive marketplace, that storytelling often makes the difference between being noticed and being overlooked.

Web Design as an Extension of Brand Identity

A brand’s website is often the first point of contact for potential customers, making web design a critical part of brand development.

This year’s web design projects focused heavily on:

  • Clear messaging and hierarchy
  • Brand consistency across pages
  • Performance and usability
  • Design systems that support growth

Our web design philosophy emphasizes clarity, longevity, and alignment with the brand’s core identity. A strong website should feel cohesive and a natural extension of the brand.

For Jacksonville businesses competing in both local and national markets, a well-designed website reinforces credibility and builds trust long before a conversation ever begins.

Why Consistency Matters More Than Ever

One of the most valuable lessons reinforced this year is that consistency wins. Brands that invest in cohesive design systems outperform those that rely on fragmented visuals and short-term fixes.

Consistency:

  • Builds recognition
  • Strengthens trust
  • Improves marketing efficiency
  • Creates long-term brand equity

Every logo, illustration, package, and website we create is designed to work together as part of a larger system. That’s how brands grow without losing their identity.

Jacksonville Branding with a National Reach

While our studio is proudly rooted in Jacksonville, the work we create extends far beyond city limits. The principles of strong branding: clarity, consistency, and craftsmanship apply everywhere.

That’s why our approach to Jacksonville design and branding balances local sensibility with national-level execution. Clients trust us to help their brands communicate clearly and confidently wherever they’re seen.

Looking Ahead: Building Brands That Last

Our annual recap is a reminder of what’s possible when clients trust the process and commit to doing things the right way.

As we move forward, our focus remains the same:

  • Thoughtful logo design
  • Strategic brand development
  • Purpose-driven illustration
  • Effective packaging and web design
  • Long-term brand value over short-term trends

THANK YOU to every client, collaborator, and partner who made this year possible. Your trust allows us to continue refining our craft and pushing the work forward.

If you’re looking for a Jacksonville design studio that approaches branding with intention, clarity, and experience, we’d love to talk.
