Designing a Hispanic Heritage Tribute with the Jacksonville Jaguars

Written by in DesignEventsIllustrationPress

¡SOMOS DUUUVAL!

Art, community, culture, and football. That’s exactly what came together with our latest Jacksonville Design project, an exclusive collaboration between 63 Visual Design Company and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

We’re proud to announce our “Duuuval Designs” poster project, created to celebrate the Jaguars’ Week 3 matchup against division rivals, the Houston Texans. This limited-edition collectible was a blast to be a part of and a creative tribute to Hispanic Heritage, local pride, and the powerful identity of Duval County itself.

The Heart Behind the Design

Heading up this special project is Patrick Carter, Creative Director and founder of 63 Visual, a lifelong Jacksonville Beach resident and devoted Jaguars fan. Having spent his entire life in the local community, Patrick’s roots in Jacksonville run deep, from cheering on the Jags at EverBank Stadium to shaping the visual identity of some of the city’s most recognized brands.

When the Jaguars approached us with the opportunity to create a poster for their Hispanic Heritage Game, the vision was clear: merge the energy of DUUUVAL with a powerful design that honors culture, history, and team spirit.

“Jacksonville Design has always been about storytelling,” says Patrick. “Every project is a chance to represent our community’s identity, and this one allowed us to blend art, heritage, and sports in a way that truly celebrates who we are.”

Jacksonville Jaguars Poster Design

The Concept: A Warrior’s Spirit, A City’s Pride

The artwork features an Aztec warrior wearing a majestic Jaguar headdress, symbolizing strength, courage, and pride. Every detail in the illustration carries meaning. The bold posture, the intricate textures, and the bull skull earrings representing the Houston Texans mascots the warrior has conquered.

This design fuses ancient symbolism with modern fandom, a representation of Jacksonville’s multicultural energy. The warrior embodies both historical honor and contemporary spirit, standing as a metaphor for the Jaguars themselves: fierce, determined, and unyielding. Through this creative expression, 63 Visual sought to bridge the connection between the Hispanic community and the Jacksonville fan base, showcasing how design can serve as a universal language of unity and pride.

A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage in Jacksonville

Each year, the Jacksonville Jaguars dedicate a special game to honor Hispanic Heritage Month, recognizing the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities in Northeast Florida. Our design for this event is a spirited contribution to this cultural celebration. The Aztec warrior motif pays homage to Mexico’s deep artistic traditions while resonating with the Jaguars’ fierce identity. The textures, patterns, and illustrative style evoke a timeless quality that connects generations of fans and families across Jacksonville. By weaving these visual stories together, 63 Visual Design Company created a Jacksonville Design piece that speaks to both the local community and a broader cultural narrative.

Bringing the Design to Life: Game Day Event at EverBank Stadium

To make this project even more memorable, Patrick Carter joined fans for a special poster signing event on Sunday, September 24, ahead of kickoff at 10 a.m. in the Fan Entertainment Zone (FEZ) at EverBank Stadium. This interactive activation allowed fans to meet the artist behind the design and take home a limited-edition signed poster, making it a true collector’s item. For many Jaguars fans, it was a chance to own a piece of Jacksonville art history, a tangible representation of their city’s creative and cultural pride. The atmosphere was electric: fans dressed in teal and gold, music filling the plaza, and locals gathering to celebrate both the Jaguars and the diverse community that defines Duval County.

The Fusion of Art and Sports in Jacksonville Design

This collaboration embodies what Jacksonville Design stands for: creativity rooted in community, authenticity, and pride. In recent years, the city’s design scene has flourished, fueled by local artists, entrepreneurs, and brands who see design not just as visual communication, but as cultural storytelling. Projects like Duuuval Designs demonstrate how sports can become a canvas for creative expression. Whether it’s through merchandise, posters, or branding, the visual language of a city plays a key role in shaping its identity.

At 63 Visual, our philosophy is simple: design should reflect the spirit of the place it comes from. Jacksonville’s identity, equal parts grit, creativity, and southern charm and serves as a constant inspiration in our work. This poster project is a testament to that vision, combining high-impact illustration with cultural depth.

From murals in Riverside and San Marco to branding projects along the Beaches, Jacksonville Design is shaping the visual future of our city. Projects like this Jaguars collaboration remind us that great design is about more than aesthetics, it’s about connection. It’s about how an image, a symbol, or a story can unite fans, celebrate heritage, and express what makes Jacksonville unique. At 63 Visual, we’re proud to contribute to that narrative. Each project we take on, whether it’s for a national sports organization or a small local business, is an opportunity to represent our city’s creative spirit.

Final Thoughts

The “Hispanic Heritage” Duuuval Designs poster stands as a perfect example of what happens when art, community, and sports come together. Through strong illustration, thoughtful symbolism, and cultural respect, 63 Visual captured the essence of both the Jaguars and the city they represent. As fans held their posters high in the stands that Sunday morning, the energy of Duval was undeniable: a celebration not only of football but of culture, creativity, and the power of design to bring people together. So whether you’re a lifelong Jaguars fan, a proud Jacksonville native, or simply someone who loves great design, this project represents everything we stand for: community, creativity, and the spirit of Jacksonville Design.
