On occasion, Patrick Carter Design offers creative direction services for graphic design studios, design firms and advertising agencies. This project is a perfect example of such a scenario. We were thrilled to team up with food and beverage powerhouse Studio Spear to create a new brand, packaging, print ad designs, website and more.

Being a lifelong resident of the Jacksonville Beaches community, it is always a pleasure to have the opportunity to work on projects for The City of Jacksonville. Event related materials are often the most exciting to work on because it is a chance to break from commercially heavy approaches and have fun with design and illustration.

While retaining the current logo a new approach was given to the colors, fonts, image treatments and overall look and feel. These new brand standards have been developed and implemented across an array of platforms including catalogs, mailers, brochures, specialty purchasing websites, stationery and more.

Burro Bags began in 2007 with Chris Williams and Matt Bort, two longtime buddies who needed a durable and affordable bag for their daily bicycle commute. The first prototype was constructed in their Springfield house combining Chris’s experience as an upholsterer and Matt’s days as a messenger and bike mechanic.

Waste Reduction has been a client of Patrick Carter Design since 2007. It has not only been exhilarating watching the client grow and develop over the years, but also gratifying to work with a product and service that I truly believe in. Waste Reduction is a leader and innovator in the waste contract management industry and consistently saves its clients 20% every year on their waste expenses.

911 Surf Report by name is a fun, casual brand that jokes about the urgent sense to get into the water when the conditions are right. This was developed through the identity design by creating a cartoon like ambulance that is “getting barreled” while stacked up high with boards and burning out the tires. Shown here in a sticker format, the surf vibe is emphasized by a carved tiki inspired custom font application and wood grain background.

While the client already had their logo and had invested in materials such as signage and printing that could not be changed, we were able to slightly modify the logo and introduce new colors, textures, imagery and brand elements and still retain the current brand equity that was in place while elevating the look and feel.

Turf Rider is a landscape management company that works closely with contractors for related services, such as tree puning, irrigation work and pest control. Turf Rider provides professional and dependable lawn services while employing only full time landscape professionals with an arsenal of the industry’s best equipment on hand.

Livewire Tattoo Studio was founded in 2001 and is located on Beach Boulevard, directly across the street from Beach Bowl and Sunrise Surf Shop. Owned and operated by Jacksonville native and tattoo veteran Jason Harms, Livewire Tattoo offers only the best product and service money can buy.

PS Furniture is an industry-leading manufacturer of portable furniture and serves customers around the world with commercial furniture solutions designed to be to be portable and easy to use. We were tasked with elevating the existing brand, and creating fresh, new, creative, conceptual and unique materials for sales and marketing purposes.

Colors, fonts, imagery and graphic elements were overhauled while retaining the preexisting logo in this brand refresh. This site features a custom widget which, in real time, displays available positions and is integrated directly with their internal EMR software system. Other features include multiple custom content management elements, social media integration and a quote request form that easily collects and exports data in a spreadsheet.
